With the new season just around the corner, there is no
better time to take stock of your holiday home to make sure that prospective
holiday makers choose your home to rent for their summer vacation.

Seductive Plum - Popular colours for this season |

Ever popular - Cool Calm Blue |
Many holiday lets in recent years have chosen a neutral colours
as a base, but this can lead to a very dull, uninspiring photo
gallery on holiday home websites but by adding a couple of seasonal
‘pop’ colours you have instantly upped your game.
With this in mind, think for a moment about the message you want to send out
to surfers about yourself, and your home. Choose turquoise as it is the colour of
holidays by the sea; it’s happy and calming. Terracottas and orange are saying, 'I love
life and am happy.’ Mossy greens can show that you’re a nature lover and Navy
is the colour of classicism.
Remember a little colour can go a long, long way - Distribute
your colour around the room in small doses so that
there’s a flow so that as your eye navigates the room it can rest on a colourful cushion or bowl, a lamp or a rug. Pattern, too, can
provide the necessary punctuation. Try a bold patterned rug as the anchor to
pull the rest of the room together.

Stone Coloured Rug - another popular addition |
Fancy something more hardcore? Why not go crazy with colour and mix it all together to leave a lasting impression. Brighten up a dark corner with a poppy-orange
lamp or add some classy turquoise accessories in the way of cushions and turn a
brown sofa into a hot chocolate sofa.

Smarten up with new fresh greens |
Black and white always work, and make great starting point
on to which to layer an accent colour, say turquoise, lime or orange. Orange together with navy gives a preppy look, add pink and
it can be chicer than you might imagine. Or try teaming lime with an icy silver or
an acidy yellow for a stark contrast. Be careful if mixing black red though - suddenly
the mood changes and if you’re not careful it will look as if you have just
walked into an American diner!
In Turkey we are lucky – look out through the windows of turkish holiday homes and you are struck by the
fabulous dense blue skies above and the deep, deep golden terracotta’s
below.

cushions and rugs that will brighten up any cream sofa or travertine
stone flooring. Add soft duck-eggs to
add a luxurious calming edge to bedrooms or for something a little racier fiery
reds or seductive purples.
